Jolt noticed the obstacle dropping his way and swerved out of the way, letting out a string of loud curses. The car tipped and the boy found himself on the ground wincing as he brushed broken window glass off of his face. He scrambled out of the side of the car and yelled toward Raiden.
"Dude! You seriously need some freakin' glasses! Hit the DRAGON, not ME! I almost had him!"
The elder brother of the two looked at Raiden with confusion and betrayal. "Sir, as much as I respect you, I will not stand for you hurting my brother," he shouted lightly pushing at Raiden's shoulder "I can't believe you would hurt a human being! Yes, he was being stupid but you could have tried another solution!" Yet looking at Raiden, he decided to look back at the dragon.
It was hurt. It was tired. And something told Shockwave that this creature did not deserve to die. He looked down at the ground, his pride wouldn't let him admit that perhaps Raiden may have made a good decision. He would stand by his twin no matter what.

He seemed to be able to understand the dragon's heavy mumbling; odd, maybe this wasn't a normal hero. He must be from another planet, or another plane. He was about to question the man when he heard Shockwave call out a string of names, rather loudly, and he turned to see the teenage boy poking through the rubble. "Shockwave! You ok?"A car revving behind the birdboy confused him even more. Oh, Gods, what was Jolt up to? He peered over the dust to see a car flying at the dragon. What was he gonna do, kill it?! Even a raging monster didn't deserve death - it was just a beast, let loose by an unnamed enemy. It was beat. Raiden blew out a street lamp to try and block Jolt's path, and Robin stood by Shockwave in, well, shock, as Jolt skidded off his path and turned the car over. Robin started. OK, things were getting out of hand quickly, and for allies that wasn't good. As Shockwave yelled at Raiden, Robin reached out, putting a hand on his shoulder and frowning, just hardly communicating both his disapproval of Raiden's choice of action as well as the boy's outburst. He didn't say anything, though; Shockwave was smart, he didn't need anybody telling him what to think, and Raiden wasn't a normal man - he probably didn't fully understand himself. "Jolt," he barked. Then, a bit more softly, "No need to kill her - she's no use to anyone dead." He looked around, eyeing the buildings, the fading laughing gas, and the destruction. "We don't want to prick off those little guys anymore, anyway; who knows what else they have in their armory. Are you all right?" He asked the younger boy on the car, hoping he hadn't been to hurt. Being soft spoken was no longer in the forefront of Raiden's mind once Jolt snapped back at him. He felt the brush of Shockwave's hand against his shoulder, but paid no heed, other than a brief glance. The shove wouldn't budge him, but would feel like pushing against a well planted statue to Shockwave. It would become quite clear to the others, whether they noticed in his body language, or felt his powerful aura, that Raiden was no longer as calm as he had been when the fight began. His patience had been noticeably tried.
His eyes flickered with electricity. He reached tot he sky, summoning a bolt of lighting, and in the blink of an eye, he was a few feet from Jolt. He narrowed his eyes, and when he spoke, his voice was clear and booming; stern, but not yet hostile. He seemed much more like a stern parent than anything. When his eyes fell upon the boy, it would be perfectly clear just how much Raiden knew about him, "You have yet to try my patience beyond this point, but know this, I am not one to cross. This dragon is a victim of another evil one's sorcery. I will not have you injuring it further. Should these be its last moments, I'd expect you to have as much respect for him as you would a human being. I value dragons more reckless children." He'd become a bit more intense, and his words would seem like only Jolt was hearing them, "I sense the evil thoughts and urges within your soul. I expect you to resist them, or suffer my wrath in the future." He turned calmly, then walked back to the dragon.
On his way there, he'd look to Shockwave and Robin, "... I understand your loyalty to your brother. The bond between twins is beyond any other, but do not let your emotion cloud your judgement. You are the elder, and you must guide him. He needs your purity of heart." He looked to Robin, "You have environmental scanners, I would assume, from your other devices. Check the readings for abnormalities. I sensed a presence here that was neither human nor draconic. Perhaps you could trace the source." He would then go back to the dragon and return his hand to its head, trying to speak it's language as best his could to assure it with his voice. It's language was a bit different than what he was used to, but he could still offer words like, "I am here." and "You are safe, rest." These words would be understood by the dragon and the dragon alone, if it could even consciously hear them.

Shockwave grumbled under his breath but his elder brother quickly shushed him. He looked at him with concern, but it still held a stern position. He was unsure of what to think of Raiden, he seemed like a kind of fatherly figure. However, after what Raiden said about his brother, he was suddenly filled with clashing emotions. He wanted to trust and defend his brother, but he knew Raiden had a point. He knew what Raiden knew.
"Jolt," he muttered "I know that thing was a danger, but that other man seemed very... Traditional, if you get my jist. Just try not to piss him off. You contact Jeffrey, have him send a team to pick up the dragon before the league does. I'll talk to Robin about finding this mastermind guy."
He walked toward Robin and looked over his shoulder, trying to see if the other boy was following Raiden's orders. Surely if there was a mastermind behind all this, all they would need to do was take them down.

(( It's alright. xD Things didn't go too far without me. If this fellow survives, by the way, I may be turning him into a semi-permanent character. Taking the beasties step by step. XD ))
The dragon quivered, expecting the end. When the painful finishing blow didn't come, he hesitantly opened his eyes and focused a blurry, bloodshot gaze on Raiden. It heaved a wet sigh and gurgled out something that sounded like a thanks before going still again. By the amount of blood coming from it's jaws, it was possible that it was wounded internally as well.
The smaller, butterfly winged dragons were still hidden within cracks and crevices above the group. They continued to spit purplish fog once and a while, but slowly, it trickled off. Then, with a few hisses here and there, they turned and scampered off into the collective darkness, as if drawn away by some invisible force. The tiny ticking of their claws could be heard beneath the streets as they fled into the sewer systems and down drainage pipes, vanishing all together from sight. What drove them off, it could not be said.

That didn't sit well with the Bat prodigy. He lived to protect people, and these guys were just kids, like he was. Reckless, but kids. Over any creature, a person's life came first. It was just the way he'd been trained. The way most people were conditioned. The lecture itself was indeed very fatherly - Robin admired the man for that much - but telling a kid you valued a creature's life more than his own? Questionable. Still wearing a frown, he nodded stiffly to the lightning man and brought up his scanners with the flick of his wrist, scanning for a strange energy pulse. He saw the dragons held a slightly unnatural wave, but that wasn't surprising. The second thing he noticed was the sound - before the scan. He looked up and listened as all the little dragons turned and vanished all at once, scurrying like mice. Robin watched on his scanner as they all aimed in the same direction and scampered off as if drawn in by something. His frown deepened. "Raiden," he said to the man bent by the dragon, "those little creatures, the smaller dragons; have you any idea who was trying to control them?"He didn't like the looks of this at all. Someone, or something, had sicked these creatures here for a purpose. Why? That was the hundred dollar question. Who? Now, that was the million dollar question. Robin noticed Shockwave approaching him and looked up from his scanner, seeing the boy peer over his shoulder at his younger twin. He was almost afraid to ask him if what the lightning man said was true; but since he hadn't interjected, or argued against the lecture that had been given to Jolt, he assumed it was so. These boys had a lot ahead of them - as heroes, and as brothers. Raiden slowly shook his head. "I sense a presence, but I could not tell who it was. All I could tell was that it had powers beyond that of a mortal human. Magic or otherwise, there is some form of link between the being and those small dragons, perhaps this large one, as well." He noticed the blood coming from the dragon's mouth as he suffered. He frowned slightly. "There is not much I can do for him in New Earth. My powers are weaker here than in Earthrealm, but I can try and stop the bleeding."
They perhaps did not know his full reasoning for being so protective. Along with his elders being dragons, in his realms dragons were a dying breed. As magic was drained from the other realms, the dragons withered away, like the fae, and the elves. Sado, the realm of order, was the only place he knew of to still have metallic dragons. It worried him always, but his duties as a god kept him from doing much to preserve them. He rested his other hand on the dragon's side. He wasn't the best at healing, not by a long shot, but he could try to make the dragon more comfortable, and perhaps stop the bleeding. He gritted his teeth in effort as small, barely noticeable currents of electricity crawled from his palms and over the scales of the dragon's hide. It would feel tingly, and slightly painful at first, but then it would feel more smooth and gentle.

Spotting Raiden healing the dragon, Jolt scoffed under his breath as he took out his cell phone. He decided he might as well follow his elder brother's order to get a team from the Light to pick up the injured creature. There was no way in hell he was going to let that old geezer bring that dragon anywhere else. Pressing a button on speed dial, he waited. Once the ringing stopped, he heard the familiar, sinus clogged voice of one of his peers. Just another dork who worked for his father, but it would have to do.
"Hey. Hey Cal, it's Jolt. Bring a nerd-herd over to Metropolis right next to Big Macs. Yeah. Uh huh. Shocks and I took down Target 681A, so get your stupid heads over here already. Some old guy just went all 'Confucius says' on me. The Justice League probably wants the dragon too so make it fast." The boy was no doubt irritated; he liked a good fight and hated it when it was interrupted. He hated it more when adult figures intervened. After shutting his phone he took the time to remove his goggles and look around. Where were those lizards going?
Meanwhile, Shockwave glared his eyes at Robin's scanners. He tried calculating why exactly the dragon would be targeted to this area, and more specifically where the smaller ones were going. When he reached what appeared to be an epiphany, he spoke up.
"Robin. They all appear to be heading North from here, I also believe that by the trail most of them are going, the location may be underground. The pattern of movement is similar to sewage systems in the area. I'm still unsure of the culprit's motives for this, but we need to get moving."

The dragon's eyes widened as a strange sensation surged through his side and up into his limbs. It tingled, and was painful at first, and he lifted his head with an alarmed growl. Through the haze that fogged his mind though, he realized that Raiden was trying to help him-- for the pain in his lungs lessened, and it became slowly easier to think. Nervously, he laid back down and decided to just wait and listen. Things were starting to come back to him now in bits in pieces-- the fight, the strange man with the helmet, and-- he choked-- There was blood on his teeth, blood that was not his. Beyond that though, he could remember nothing else. The more he focused and listened, at least, the more his gift kicked in and the more he stood of the strange primate's speech patterns and-- no, humans... They were humans. Some of them. He knew them from the legends, and he had been told that some of the dragons in the western empires had even visited their realm in recent times while under glamour. And-- yes, he was a dragon, wasn't he? But not one of the Western breed. Where was he from? Another place, surely-- Humans didn't go there, they weren't allowed. Where-- And then his sharp hearing picked up something truly terrifying. The small human was calling someone on a device! Target? Wanted? They were going to take him away somewhere! He didn't remember much, but he did remember that humans had a tendency to do not very nice things to creatures like he. With a choked roar, he heaved to his feet, despite the pain, and began to drag himself away. He wasn't very fast, but it was obvious that he was alarmed about something and for a good reason too.

Raiden started a bit when the dragon desperately tried to move away. He pressed his hands just a bit harder against the dragon's side, disconnect his energy from its own, then rushed to stand in front of his snout. He held his hands up calmly, taking a firm stance on his feet incase the dragon decided to charge. He spoke clearly, but in dragontongue, so that Jolt and the others would not understand, but the dragon would. "<Be still! Your injuries are severe. I cannot teleport you away immediately, but I will protect you. I am Raiden, God of Thunder, and I have the authority of the Elder Gods behind me. Wait for but two more minutes. I will have enough energy to teleport us away, then. I will hide you, and keep you safe. I do not trust this 'Light' that the child speaks of. But please, for now, do not press yourself. I need to stop the bleeding. No harm will come to you.>" He spoke more softly, "<I swear it.>" He bowed his head just a bit, then looked back to Jolt briefly, making sure to ready himself for any reaction that might come from the naive, yet violent child. He had powerful dominion of thunder; over electricity. These children, if they so chose to attack, would find themselves in quite a mess. but he would not start anything unless absolutely necessary. He had to hide the fact that he planned to leave with the dragon.

Luckily for Raiden, neither of the twin boys had heard of his intentions to bring the dragon away with him. Jolt was busy trying to annoy his older brother as he tried to come up with a plan. "Hey, after we get home you wanna play Castle Crashers? I'll totally pwn you again in duel mode." the boy pestered. His brother was too busy examining damages made by the dragon and thinking of a route to take. Strategic movements of battle, possible situations the dragon may have placed civilians into, damage costs and current fatigue levels seemed more important to him at the time. "Not now, Jolt. Check around to see if any civilians are trapped under rubble. I still have to contact people about damage costs and figure out exactly who we're up against. That effects our entire strategy when approaching the man in question. For example, if he has access to water pressure and flow control in the sewage systems it would be a terrible idea to take a route down there. Right Rob-" For Pete's sake, he did not just pull a Batman on him. Robin appeared to have gone off on his own path for the time, or perhaps Shockwave just needed to get a check up on his eyes. Nevertheless, Robin was nowhere in sight and the boys needed to proceed without him. With a sigh of exasperation, Shockwave turned to Raiden with a pleading look in his eyes. "My brother and I are going to pursue the mastermind behind the attack. We have a generally good idea of where he is. If you would like to come with us, feel free to. If not, I beg you to please make sure that the scientists my brother sent here safely carry away the specimen." he requested. He respected this man for some reason, something within him told him that he was someone he could trust. His younger brother on the other hand, disagreed completely. He had secretly messaged the men he had sent to retrieve the dragon to be extremely wary of Raiden and to use force if necessary. As they left, Jolt glared towards Raiden, hoping the man would catch it. A few sharp turns around busy street corners, several strange looks and 'Hey are those new sidekicks of somebody?' later, Shockwave led his brother to a small drain in a dark alleyway. It reeked and this alleyway seemed more like one from Gotham than the commercial cut, happy city of Metropolis. He turned to his identical pair and stared for a while, they both knew what to do. Using their combined strength to force the metal obstruction in the way, they were now ready to jump down. Whatever lied ahead of them, however, was probably something neither of the boys were mentally prepared for.

The dragon's sides still heaved, breathing quickened with effort and fear. It did, however, stop, though reluctantly. While this creature looked human, he did not smell it, nor did he feel it. But the two small ones were going off somewhere, and the third small one was already gone. He needed to get out of here! Still, to a point, the man was right. It would do him no good to escape, only to bleed to death. He would be still for now, but not much longer. He would not allow those being to capture him-- he would not suffer that fate. <I am no specimen,> he said raspily, but knew the two small ones would not understand him. The larger one, however, spoke his language. A strange dialect, but it was his language all the same. Despite his peril, his natural draconic curiosity overcame his fear. <How is it you know my language?> he asked, <What has transpired here?>
The twins could search the sewers all they liked, for they were unlikely to find anything. The little dragons had vanished into the sewers, yes, but instead of travelling down one main pipe it seemed they had escaped into a multitude of little ones. Where ever they were, it was not within the sewers any longer. The only signs of where they had gone came in the form of tiny clawmarks in the metal and stone, disappearing down pipes big enough only for one's arm.

Raiden bowed his head in acknowledgement to the young man's request, hiding the fact that he indeed planned to go against that request. He hoped Shockwave would understand. Perhaps discover where his leaders' loyalties rest. He returned his attention to the dragon, furthering his healing. It was taxing, yes, but it wouldn't be as taxing as teleporting both him and a large dragon into a secluded area. He looked at the dragon when he asked his question, then smiled very slightly, barely noticeably. "<I speak many languages. Your ancient form of Dragontongue was derived from my own language, so it is easy to learn.>" That, mixed with the fact that he was a god, made it very easy to adapt his language. Over time, he might be able to change his dialect to the other dragon's, once he spoke enough.
He furrowed his brow for the next question. "Even I am uncertain. There is some force that has bent your fellow dragons to its will. You were previously being controlled, or at least frenzied by this force. I do not sense that you caused much damage to life, though a few domesticated animals saw their end." He stopped and looked over his shoulder, hearing cars on their way. It was earlier than he would have liked. He wasn't entirely charged yet. He frowned. "It is time, we must go. Prepare yourself." He pressed one hand to the dragon's shoulder, then firmly lifted the other hand to the sky. He said a small spell quickly, and with a deep, booming voice that would only belong to a god, "Ur danth meku nat men. Uruzah!" A very large thunderstrike hit, consuming both of them in light. Car alarms went off, and a few windows even shattered. Once it disconnected from the ground, they were carried up with it, like they had become one with the lightning. It felt natural to Raiden, but to the dragon is must have felt like being engulfed in static charge. Every single scale would individually feel small tingles and zaps as they were carried to their new destination. Somewhere deserted, where few would venture.
When they landed, they were in a small, but dense forest, just outside Queensland Park. They were almost beyond the city limits, and well hidden amongst the trees and rocks. Raiden slowly removed his hand fromt he dragon's shoulder, and let both his arms fall to his sides. It had almost been too much. Had he spent much more of his energy, he could have been forced from his corporeal form. He steadied himself, closing his eyes and rubbing his temple. He would have to meditate for a moment, soon.
