" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/b]ichard touched his ribs gingerly and saw Wally puff up with pride in front of him, and flirt with a girl. He smiled to himself. They'd all worked for so much, so hard; all their training and helping their mentors had come down finally to them being their own heroes, getting their names out in the papers instead of the big-wigs. Robin permanently had a spot by Batman since forever because of all the publicity the Bat got - they all thought he was one of the earlier Robins, but whatever. He still had to make his own reputation known, like the rest of them. Wally was finally realizing how much of an impact they'd been having on the world. "No prob," he replied with a smile, rubbing his head as Wally spoke again, "my suit is as form-fitting as yours. My ribs are swelling, and these bandages are bad enough without ice and proper wrapping; it'd only give me hell, and mess up my bone setting. I could put on the mask, but I'd have to get rid of these civvies and never wear them again, in case someone made the connection." He explained. He winced as his chest throbbed at the turn into the station. Luckily, it was out of the way, and not as busy. He waited until Kid parked to let go of the bike, his knuckles pulsating because of how tightly he'd been gripping the bike, and rubbed them gingerly. A break was just what he needed. He eased off the bike seat and laughed as he realized his butt was numb. His knees cracked as he rose to his feet. But he straightened too quickly and winced in pain, an arm across his stomach, a hand shooting out to grab the bike as the pain shot through him, threatening to buckle his knees. After a few short, slow breaths he straightened more carefully to see Wally at his side. "I'll be OK on my own standing; I just need to stretch my legs a bit while you're loading up the bike," he said in a strong a tone as he could manage, and still having it tremble on the last word, "I'd rather not. I don't want to press my luck any more than I have with my frickin ribs; but I could pull up my hood, though. That might help." He suggested, just thinking of that now. All around them, it looked like Kid Flash helping out a civilian. Robin hoped it would stay that way. This city was teeming with people. Wally grew worried as he watched Robin wince in pain, knees almost giving out. He currently hated the bikes. It was all their fault. If they hadn’t been there, Wally could have had Robin in Mount Justice in no time at all, and the pain would have been next to nonexistent. A small frown showed itself on his face, even as Robin assured him that he was okay.
”Well, if you’re sure, then I guess there’s no helping it. And where’s your helmet Boy Wonder? Thought Bats would make you wear it?”[b/] he held onto the raven’s arm, making sure he didn’t fall. ”Never mind, I think you should take another painkiller man… you look like shit” He kicked down the support on Robin’s bike. Zipping over to the suitcase, opening it, Kid Flash threw the small bottle to his teammate.
Once had filled up his bike and the R-cycle, making sure they were ready to go, he just really wanted to get Robin home to the base. He wanted him checked for over injuries and he wanted Batman to check those Ribs. ”How long ‘till we’re home you think?” Wally mused, face in the direction of the road they’d be on soon enough.

Well, these things had to be endured. He could take it... mentally, and the pain didn't bother him. His body was weaker than his will. Shrugging, he glanced back at his bike, where his helmet was latched on to the side wearily. "I haven't exactly been in my right mind lately," he sighed, "I'll wear it on our way out." He said with a wave of his hand, as if brushing it off. His head was still a bit fuzzy. As Wally grasped his arm he let the boy take some of his weight off his knees, a rush of releif meeting him. Robin rubbed his head and nodded. "Yeah, I think one more would at least make me numb." He held out his hand and caught the bottle lightly, popping it open and swallowing a pill dry. Then he tucked the bottle back into his bag and wandered to the grass divider between the road and the parking lot. His shoes sank gracefully into the plush green as he stepped up the concrete step. Cars whizzed passed him, their wind pushing his bangs back from his face. He was honestly considering going to a hospital instead of back to the mansion. Putting a hand to his ribs without touching them, he tilted his head back and hoped Alfred would help reason with Bruce. He didn't think he was in a good mind enough to put up with the B man's yelling. . he'd never been on Vikadin this long before; its effects under stress were negotiatable. When Wally spoke, he turned, dropping his hand and looknig down the road as well. "An hour and a half, probably. It took me three to get to where I was." He replied. Wally watched Robin, shuffle around, walking onto the patch of grass. The boy looked pale as a sheet, tired, with heavy bags under his red eyes. He needed to get Robin home as soon as possible. He could run home with the boy. It would take about 20 minutes, if he went at a steady velocity, concentrating not to shake Robin too much. It would be better for the boy. But he knew the big Bat wouldn't be pleased in them coming home without the bikes. Not that he couldn't run back and get them.. or he could have M'gann pick them up in the bio-ship.
"Rob... Do you want me to run you home? I could get you there way faster, and I don't think it'd be much more painful. I could.. I don't know, I'll find a way to get the bikes back, no problem." Kid Flash would let Robin decide. It was his body, his pain and his mentor anyway. A smirk spread on his lips as he continued, "'Cause, dude, you look like shit driven over by a tank. If he didn't make fun of Robin, who would? Wally was serious though, he did not like the way his friend's face would twist in pain, how his forehead was dusted in a thing layer of sweat. The boy was on heavy painkillers, and he was still in that much pain. Plus, Robin was no wuss, he was the toughest, guy the speedster knew, his age. "No really Robin. You should get treatment as soon as possible, you need it bad." Wally faintly registered the speeding cars, and the wind pushing against his face as well as Robin's.
(lol it's so short, and it took super long!! I vote we drop the next part of the ride and skip to mt. Justice by next post or so. If that would work for you too of course? ^^ BTW! WHY ARE WE MEAN TO ROBIN AND BREAKING HIS RIBS *sobsobsob*)

" I'm giving up; I'm giving up s l o w l y I'm blending in so you don't even k n o w me. Apart from this whole w o r l d that shares my fate. " - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/b]ichard looked back at Wally briefly, a smile on his face to show his appreciation for the consideration the boy took for him. Usually, people just let him suffer in silence, not really considering it was possible that he'd made the wrong decision for himself. That's one of the reasons Wally was his best friend. He could see through his friends faults. He looked back at the street, though, and shut his eyes. It was so relaxing, just listening to the sound of the cars and the people, the engines revving. He picked out a few mustangs in the crowd of noises and noticed his hearing fluctuating. His heart sank. Yeah, he really was in bad shape, wasn't he? But he hated to bother everybody, especially if there was a more simple solution. Why give other people something else to do? Then again. . He looked down at his hands, white as parchment, as he imagined his face was. He was a big doped-up mess. Wincing at the thought, he sighed. Then he turned as Wally joked about his appearance, and grimaced visibly, attempting to cover it up with a crooked grin. "I. . I guess you're right," he conceded, "I don't want to see Bats, but I'd hate to be any worse a burden than I am. If I mess up my ribs by doing something stupid all drugged up then I can only imagine how much more pissed he'd be." The pain was numbing, but it took him until now to realize just how much it had been. He was rarely in so much pain, and even through he coped with it easily on the outside, he could feel his insides trembling from the effort of putting up with it. It was crazy. No, he could take it mentally, but his body just couldn't hold out as long as his iron will. That sucked beyond reason. Then, he thought of something else. He eyed the bikes. Yeah, he was seeing spots, but they were still there and the problem still posed. "Where will we hide the bikes, though?" He questioned. "A city divide or something?"[/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " I'm begging you to be m y escape. "Good choice, man. I think it's for the best..." Wally trailed off placing a comforting hand on the Robin's shoulder, as the pained expression left the pale boy's face. He watched how the brows of the other, scrunched together in annoyance, and somehow Wally just knew that it had nothing to do with the long trip home, Batman being angry OR the thought of the mighty Kid Flash carrying him. No, Robin hated being weak. Not that the Boy wonder actually was weak; no, more like the fact that his brain was overly trained to endure any kind of situation, but there was only so much a body could handle. Especially when that body wasn't fully developed yet, due to it only being.. what.. 13-14 years old?
Wally was pulled out of his thoughts as Robin asked the next question.. Where would they put the bikes? Honestly, right now Kid Flash was not sure. his head whipped around, searching the area for potential hiding places big enough to keep their machines covered. Behind the gas station as a bunch of trees, planted by man to look like a mini-forest, to one side a field, and in the same direction of the traffic, was that city divide Rob had talked about. It seemed like the best possibility.
"Yeah, city divide definitely." Wally looked down at Robin, still pale as a sheet, eyes slightly red and glazed over from the pain. "I think you should stay here. Getting off and on the bike hurts too much... If you just guard the food bag with your life, then I'll handle the rest, okay Boy Wonder?" By the end of the sentence Wally had reached the bikes, and was working on the knot Robin had tied. He couldn't do them, but undoing them was no problem; He just tugged everywhere at hyper-speed and they usually fell apart. There, done.
Jumping on to Robin's bike, he winked at the pale boy before zooming down the road to the newly named hiding place for the machines, just to run back up the hill to Robin, to repeat the action with his own bike and the food bag, this time running back, scooping the other boy gently up into his arms, locking eyes with the other for a split second to make sure the bird was in a comfortable position, deeming it comfortable enough, he sped down the hill again, placing Robin back on the ground. "There Rob, is that well enough hidden for ya? Oh, and more importantly did it hurt too much when I ran with you? Are you ready to go now?" Super speed always made him hyper..
((GAH!! again I'm sooo soorryyyy for taking soo lonnnggg!!! Robs: you can just take us to the base after this, you can make KF run no problemo right?))

" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/b]ichard nodded silently as Wally's hand reste on his shoulder. He was tired all of a sudden; very tired. He could stay upright just fine; his limbs just refused to move. Felt like he weighed eight more pounds. When Wally looked around and found the spot the sunlight flashed oddly off his goggles. A grin cracked across Robin's face as he joked about the food bag. "Of course," he chuckled to air, as Wally'd already gone and finished the task. As he appeared directly in front of him Robin clutched the foodbag to his chest, curling up as the speedster picked him up. It was a dull ache, but comforting to relax in a different position, and his releif must've shown plainly on his face. The trip down the hill was short, and lightning fast. It was such a rush. His eyes were protected by his glasses, and it seemed as it the rest of the world was moving in slo-mo. There were no vibrations. No oddities. It was very smooth, and Robin soon found himself on his feet again. He blinked, taking in the hiding place, still in a bit of shock. He squinted. "Perfect. No; it was fine. Yeah, lets roll." He said, patiently answering his friends questions clearly. When he was hyper there wasn't much to do but sit back and watch the boy work. He was hilarious when it came down to being as jangled up as he got at times. He let himself be, once again, lifted into his friends arms while he clutched the foodbag in his pale hands. Then, they were gone. Soaring across ground, between cars, around buses. Richard looked wide-eyed as a passenger in one of the taxis yawned in slow motion. This was amazing. They broke through the city and out into the highway in no time, gliding easily passed and through all the traffic. There was a dairy farm they passed with luscious rolling green hills. And another, with a perfect white farmhouse perched between two tall oaks. The blue sky seemed endless, and though strange hallucinations began to flutter across his vision, he enjoyed breathing the fresh air and enduring the wind in his face without the trouble of a seat or movement on his own. They reached Gotham soon enough. The neon lights flew passed like fireflies with long dragon tails, flickering before his eyes, and the large billboards seemed to trasition as slowly as the people. In no time, they were through the secret entrance, and Richard found himself being passed to a handful of nurses Bruce had hired for emergencies. Someone had known they were coming; Brucie boy had probably seen Wally's tracker blipping on the outskirts of the city and readied the staff just in case. Good thing, too. He found himself on a stretcher and being pushed - it didn't seem quick, after a ride with Wally, but fast for regular purposes - away from his best friend. He lifted a hand and grinned as they tried to wave him off, motioning them to leave him be. Wally could do what he wanted here; this might be Bat mansion, but it was still a home. And Wally was a guest. Besides, they had a kitchen that was over-stocked. Before all that food went to waste somebody had to clear it out. Stripped, bombarded with questions and proded, an IV drip finally went into his hand and he was asleep as they went to work. They scrubbed him clean as gently as possible, rebandaged and rewrapped him, and set him up in his own bed for a good long rest. And so Robin slept, sunglasses set aside on his bedtable, and pale face finally returning to its normal color. Well, more of its normal color; he was pale enough to begin with, after all. [/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " I'm begging you to be m y escape. Wally was halfway offended that by the way the nurses urged his away, almost as if his presence would hurt his friend more than the broken ribs was, but as Robin waved his hand at them, a weak smile on his lips, the redhead could see why they needed him out of the room: Robin needed rest. He needed to relax and not to worry about worrying Kid Flash. So he went to do what he did best besides running: emptying Robin's kitchen for edible things.
Wally skid through the cave, casting a longing glance at the batmobile, wondering how fast it went, before speeding up the stairs just for the heck of it. Reaching the top of the stairs, almost before he even started, he peaked through the opening, checking if the coast was clear. He had been in the batcave before, even in Robin's room, without Batman knowing, so he would have to be careful not to let the big Bat find out that he had had a lot of get-togethers with the Boy Wonder before. You know.. they needed time to just be together and be bros too, beat each other in video games and.. Eat ice-cream, for example.
Daddy bats was nowhere to be seen so Wally made a mad dash through the impressive halls and quickly found the kitchen, luckily finding it empty too, and opened the fridge to examine its contents. ”let’s see.. Milk.. bread.. wait.. no juice.. no.. soda, yess.. thank god they have Coke. Uhm… where’d I come from.. OH yeah, bread.. and.. WHAT IS THE NUTELLA DOING IN THE FRIDGE?!” Wally grabbed the item, all previous thoughts about being stealthy forgotten. ”sheesh Rob, I thought you knew how to handle stuff like this. It’ll get all nasty and hard in the fridge.” a red clad hand placed the chocolate goodness on the counter. A piece of bread was already hanging from his mouth, a plate in the other hand filled with a variety of the classy food. How did the Bats even afford this? Who had CAVIAR in their fridge on a Wednesday?!
Wally slowly made his way back to the cave, settling down on the bottom of the stairs, leaning against the cold wall. He sighed at the feeling of the cool against the thin fabric of his suit, he was spent from worrying about Robin, his friend had really been in pain. Shrugging the less than pleasant thought about his hurting friend, he began to eat.
As Kid Flash was finishing up his rather big plate of snacks, he remembered to gave a call to Miss Martian giving the girl the coordinates for the position of their bikes, shortly explaining her the situation, calming her down as she insisted to go see Robin, even as she didn’t know where the batcave was. Hanging up, he shook his head. She really was too worried about everyone else, it wasn’t like it was the first time the guy had broken Ribs, so why overreact so much?

" I'm giving up; I'm giving up s l o w l y I'm blending in so you don't even k n o w me. Apart from this whole w o r l d that shares my fate. " - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/b]ichard woke up after a half hour and squinted into the afternoon light pouring through his windows. He glanced this way and that, looking for his glasses, and dragged himself mostly upright in his pile of pillows. His ribs felt absolutely no pressure; the pain was literally gone. Another reason to thank modern medicine. Sitting back for a minute, he watched out his window at the woods, the sunlight dancing off the rustling leaves, the endless blue sky not dimming in color as a cloud passed over the sun. The shadows faded. An eerie cast of light went over everything as he watched, blue eyes watching, but far away. Then the sun pushed through the cover and broke to warm the ground again. Rubbing his head, he shut his eyes an turned his head from the window. Too much vikadin always gave him headaches afterwards. He'd had a bad one when he woke up to Wally in that hotel room. Now, it was slight, but there. He looked around with a smile. His room was just as he'd left it. . like always. Cleaner, of course, because of the maid, but all the same. Then two knocks on the door made him jump. He cleared his throat. "Come on in, sir," he called, watching as Bruce turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. "Feeling all right, Richard?" He looked better than usual. His usually cloudy eyes were clear, and there was a calmness about him. Richard imagined he'd been worried until he saw himself in person. "Much." He said shortly, bracing for the scolding on 'how could you get beat so easily?!' 'how could yuo have to rely on a low super family to save you?!' and he would probably mention something about timing. As the man stepped inside and shut the door, Richard saw a weariness in his movements. "So," the Bat began, "care to tell me why Kid Flash is scoffing over your Nutella, and how he knows where our kitchen is?" Richard's face broke into a smile, curivng a bit too much to be normal. He was happier that he'd avoided the concept of the bikes and his ribs than he was that Wally was being picky about where he stored his Nutella. "I forgot to tell him I like it cold," he laughed, "he carried me, sorta. From the city a few miles away." He confessed. "I was in a lot of pain; I told him I could rough it out on the bikes, but he wouldn't hear of it. So here I am. He probably found the kitchen when his stomach started to irritate him." Rubbing his forehead, he shut his eyes and smiled. "He's crazy. Messing with my Nutella." He specificlly avoided Wally being here before; that would noly make the guy more mad. For now, Wally had found everything for the first time, and was eating god knows where and god knows how much. With the whole bike problem out of the world, food eaten and die to a creepily quiet Batcave, Wally decided against paying Robin a check up visit, where ever he was, and headed home. The Flash's home in Central City was closer to him than his parent's, so he counted on his uncle letting him crash the guest room as he'd often done before. So he left the cave the same way as he entered: in high speed and by the hidden entrance.. Exit.. what ever, the point is that Wally left, zooming down the streets heading for Central City. Maybe they could go on a patrol, like they used to do all the time, there hadn't been much partner-bonding-time since Wally had joined the Young Justice team, and the time that they had had already been cut down when Barry had joined the JLA.
He was half way to his destination, when Wally flipped out his phone, slowing down slightly as he typed out a text for his best friend 'Hey man, just to let u know, I headed to Central City to sleep. Text me when ur up tmrw, I bet the Team wants to say hi' should he put a smiley? naw, this was good.. no, there a smiley. Just a small one. Hitting the send button, Wally stuffed his phone away, gaining speed once again, smiling as he pushed his muscles further loving the feeling of them stretch under his suit. He could hear the wind, feel the pressure on his chest from the air resistance and the hard thuds running up through his legs as his feel hit the street. Water had started pouring from the sky, falling as rain, hitting him in his face, allowing him to shortly be distracted as the small drops slid across the red see-through surface of the goggles placed over his eyes.
And then he was there. He knocked on the door the way he always knocked, knuckles hitting the wood so fast Wally managed to pull his fist back preparing for the fourth knock, as the door swung open and he was pulled inside in a Flash. "Hey shorty, wasn't expecting you tonight, what's up? A beaming Barry smiled down at him, greeting him a Welcome home, because anything that was Barry's was Wally's as he used to say. "Hey Uncle Barry. Nothing much, just had to carry Rob home from a mission in Virginia. He earned himself some broken ribs 'n stuff. Wally casually answered with a shrug, "Can I crash here tonight? I don't feel like running all the way home... And maybe we could to kick some villain-butt?" "Sorry Kid, another day, just came home, and the city's as safe as ever. But I can race ya to the base tomorrow. That's where you're headin' right?" Barry nudged him in the side winking at him choosing to just ignore Robin's sate of hurt as he knew the younger speedster would not know anymore than he had already told him. Wally nodded a small smile on his lips, he knew Barry only wanted to race because he knew he would win. Stupid Uncle..
After chatting a bit, Wally said good night and headed up to his room to sleep. Laying there in his bed, he stared at the ceiling, frowned and flipped open his phone. Nothing yet. Maybe his communicator? Nope. He sighed.. Robin should have been awake by now, at least from the sleep the drugs forced on him. Wally hoped the Boy Wonder was alright.

Jinx sighed to herself. A colleague had left her with a task, a clean-up job on some corpses. Fat Tony had killed a few rival gang members, and he didn’t want bodies to be found. So it was up to her to transform the bodies into something that wouldn’t attract attention. She didn’t need to know who they were, she preferred not to look at their faces in the stock room, and just draw the transfiguration circles. “chordda ddiesgyrna at gwellt a chig at daenu llwch,” she whispered, circling the bodies. Jinx wasn’t a murderer. She was a sorceress, and she broke laws, but she regarded herself as a force of nature. She did what she had to survive, and only hurt those who get in her way. She stayed below the radar, and she kept herself safe. Sadly, times were getting leaner and she was taking more dangerous jobs, to make ends meet.

The morning had come soon enough, but the worries that he had been feeling hadn't left. Conner knew Robin had been injured, because M'gann knew, but he still hadn't heard anything. He almost contemplated flying over there himself, but he didn't exactly know where the Batcave was, and with all the metal in that city, his flimsy x-ray vision wouldn't be any kind of help. He was stuck, waiting for any kind of news.
He sat at the table in the lounge, idly stirring his cereal as he rested his head on his other hand. His sunglasses sat on the table next to him, and his jacket was draped on the back of his chair. He gave a nod to the other Young Justice members who passed, but it was obvious he was worried. Robin was one of his best friends. Always a friendly face, even when he felt his worst. He sighed, pushing the bowl away. "Can't eat..." He mumbled to himself as he ruffled his hair.
He stood up and walked over to the nearest window, pulling his jacket back on. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a phone and dialing Robin's number. Hopefully he was up, and hopefully he wasn't being disturbed by the call. He'd wait ver patiently for Robin to pick up.

" I'm giving up; I'm giving up s l o w l y I'm blending in so you don't even k n o w me. Apart from this whole w o r l d that shares my fate. " - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [/b]ichard looked up at Bruce as the man shook his head. "Dick, you did well on your mission; what you found is being analyzed now and the family was thrilled to work with you." At Richard's surprised expression Bruce eased onto the end of the boy's bed. "I know, and you know, that giving your all is part of our job, and sometimes you get hurt. Happens to me often enough. I just don't want you to be afraid to limp back to me when it happens." He looked directly at Robin, "The reason I give you consequences like I do is to teach you a lesson. If I didn't, you might get cocky against an enemy that surprises you, and then it'd be over for you, and maybe even your entire team. For good. You might see that, but even I can see you cringe from it at times." A hand rested on the boy's sharp shoulder as Bruce leaned forward, "I'm trying to make you a better hero, Richard," he said quietly, "I want you to promise me right now that you'll never stretch yourself as thin as you did just because of me."Richard was shocked. He looked at his lap and ghosted his fingertips across his fresh bandages, thinking deeply. There had never been a time when he forgot why his foster father did what he did. But he did resent it; when he felt like he was being treated like a pet to be trained, instead of a partner. Now at least he knew that was never what his mentor intended. At last, he looked up with a smile. "I promise," he said quietly, smile turning sheepish. Bruce smiled in return, squeezing his shoulder briefly before rising once more. "Good." He slid a hand in to his pocket where his pager vibrated. "Get some rest; your friends will probably want to see you tomorrow, and for that . . ." He looked around briefly at all the awards, ribbons and trophies hanging on the walls and coating all the shelves that had his name engraved on them and smirked lightly. "We'll move you into a guest room." He shot a smile at Richard as the boy nodded in reply. Then, turning on his heel, he took to the door and was gone. Running a hand through his bed head, Richard sighed and sat for a minute, absorbing the compliment. He chuckled. Shaking his head, he reached for the phone in his bed table drawer as it began to sing One Might Night by Ravex and unlocked the screen to see Wally's text. As he was about to reply, he got a call from a girl at school. After clearing his throat a few times with a blush burning across the bridge of his nose, he convinced her he had to go and hung up, letting his hand drop with the phone in it. She. . he. . He looked guiltily down at his ribs. How was he going to explain this? With a groan, he lay back in his bed to think, and drifted off to sleep. Waking about an hour or two later, he suddenly remembered Wally's text and quickly sent one back. 'Srry for the delay. Smthing wack came up. I'm awake nw, but B-man says wait til they can mve me to a guest room; 2 much evidence, lol. . cn't wait 2 C every1.' He lay back in bed, watching the stars shine outside, phone on his chest, and just tried to breathe gently. The girl that had called put his mind in a whirl . . he needed his best friend to talk to about it, maybe after the others had gone home tomorrow. Then, his phone went off, and he blinked, squinting at the name. Supie! He answered and grinned. "Hey! Whats up, Supes?"[/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " I'm begging you to be m y escape. I'm giving up, I'm doing this a l o n e now, 'Cause I failed, and I'm ready to s h o w now - You showed me the way, and now I'm trying to g e t there. " I know to live you must g i v e your life away.

Conner let out a quiet sigh of relief when the phone was answered, then responded right after Robin finished his answer. "Hey, Robs! I heard from M'gann that you got hurt. Are you feeling okay?" There was a sincere sense of worry in Conner's voice, but it was friendly all the same. He walked over to the coffee table in the lounge, taking the tv remote into his hand and turning the television off for silence. "She sounded pretty worried, so I don't think it was just your common rough-up, right?"
He glanced out the window. It was a beautiful day in Happy Harbor. The morning sun reflected gently off the waters, and there was a slight breeze shifting the leaves on the trees. If he wasn't occupied, he might go for a fly around the water, but his mind drifted back to Robin again. M'gann didn't often get worried about Robin when she knew he was injured. Most of the time she knew he wasn't in that much pain, so he could take care of it, but this time she knew he was hurting. That worried Conner.

Wally felt his phone vibrate in his pocket around 3PM when he was strolling down one of the main streets of Central City, quickly flipping it open. He smirked a bit as he replied to the message from Robin: np, it'd b a real disaster if the others found out u're a mathlete, you geek. Will bring em tomorrow, we'll enter through the B-cave. How's the ribs?Wally picked up his pace as he jogged, normal speed of course, to rest of the way to the ice cream parlor he was headed to before the message arrived, exiting if again after 10 minutes of waiting in line, 30 seconds of hpyer-speed-ice-cream-flavor-picking and then 2 full minutes of the lady to scoop the deliciousnesses into 2 buckets a 2 liters each. Wally always liked ice-cream, so sadly he was barely home before the two buckets were gone, now having become the content of the young Speedster's stomach allowing his crazy Metabolism to throw a party and go wild. With his stomach full like that, Wally changed into Kid Flash's suit, red adoring his muscled legs, yellow glowing from his upper body, goggles covering his eyes as he sped to Happy Harbor where the Young Justice's HQ was currently located. Again, his run was too short and only upon his arrival did Wally let his senses take in the fresh air of nature as he stood on the beach in front of Mt. Justice. They should throw a small beach-party here once school was out. The cave was slowly becoming a third home to him, the first being his own house, and the second the Allen's home, so it only felt natural to break the silence that filled the base with an announcement of his arrival: "HEY PEOPLE! THE WALLMAN IS IN THA HOOOOUUUSEEEEEEE"((this was easier to crank out woo ~ and cool of you to join guys ))
