Didn’t get domo’s response through the email… such has been yahoo hell
… lemme nudge along here….
. The only whooping being done here, will be done by me." She glanced Lobo's way and snorted. "And possibly him. By the way, Mr. Bounty Hunter. I don't know if you've thought of this, but letting the little monsters tag along with you isn't exactly the best way to keep them away from my hide out, considering you're, uh, crashing here.
Lobo grunted. He hadn’t planned on bringing them back around. It was the kid that had taken it upon himself to hunt down the dragon.
All of this was moot anyhow. The kids were here, but so were the dragon and her little undead buddy to protect her, and so was Lobo (it Was their standing agreement after all): but now that everything was out in the open, his task to keep her home hidden was no longer required.
That was further quantified when the kid spilled the beans.
"Alright, baby brother. You got me. The original recruits from CADMUS's Twin Project has been bested from the inside out. That's fine. My loyalty is still to the Light though, and you know that, though. So if you want me to protect your new Daddy . I need some kind of fake evidence that we can show to the agents so we can claim that our reptilian specimen perished into nothingness."
“We c’n do that,” Lobo grunted before walking over to Krepta. “Open up, Sunshine. Time ta do sum dentistry.” It seemed logical enough. Not like a dragon was going to offer up a tooth, so providing one would prove that the kid had to get close enough to get one; and that clearly wouldn’t be an easy task as a dragon wasn’t willing enough to just cough one up.

Maurice finally stopped being the fleshy equivalent of a doorstop. As a vampire, he felt teeth were pretty important. Those usually didn't grow back. Sure Krepta had a lot...but that was like saying somebody had a lot of fingers. He pushed himself away from the wall and unsurely inserted himself between Krepta and Lobo with his hands held up the same way someone would approach a spooked horse.
"U-uh, what about a scale instead?" His voice was not the slow rasp one would probably expect from a vampire. He sounded like...any other dude. A long, long way from his Texas home.

Shook her head. Not that she had any trouble spitting out a tooth for them-- she had lost plenty in her time-- and like shark's teeth, they grew back easily, as did her tails. "Lobo, are you familiar with cloning?" she asked, frowning at the man. As if she was going to let his filthy mits anywhere near her mouth. "Besides, I've heard of Cadmus through the grapevine. They're bad news. I don't know who this "Light" is but I do know that if they work with Cadmus than they're bad news too." She jabbed a claw his way. "And maybe dimwit here is following you around because he thinks you're cool, but I bet this one just wants a piece of your alien hide," she shot a dark look the other twin's way. "When I first fought them I overheard them talking about experiments. All they need is the smallest sample and it's all over." She bared her teeth in anger. He should know better! Sure, it was obvious that Lobo wasn't the brightest star in the galaxy, but he wasn't that dumb! "And I don't know about you, but I don't want any little you's or me's to come looking for us. You may not care too much about your reputation, but I've already had the League come down on my head once in my life. I don't need it to happen again." She grimaced as Maurice inserted himself between them. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate his bravery but-- well, she could take care of herself, and this guy could eat Maurice alive. She shot Lobo a warning look that said, 'You touch him and we're going round two.' Anyhow, she had enough trouble with these brats without fighting among her allies. "And even if these people did believe that two poorly trained teenagers took down a full dragon on their own-- which I doubt-- As far as I know, we're calling the shots right now, which means we don't have to negotiate with them." She turned those fierce green eyes on the brothers, no doubt wondering if it would have saved her some time if she had just eaten them an been done with it. "Who is this Light and what do they want with the dragons," she snapped. "And I suggest you answer fast, because I'm beginning to lose my temper with you two." Those sharp claws raked across the ground before her, hinting at just what would happen if she wound up losing her temper. She hoped, for their sakes, they made the smart choice and caved.

While Krepta fussed and fumed, Lobo seemed to take the back seat. He had stared down at the vampire. It was doubtful that the fang faced little creep would be able to stop him, but it had to take a set of undead balls to even attempt to try. Besides, the way the reptile was ranting, it seemed that there was a bigger threat to worry about.
Not that Lobo didn't think that he couldn't handle a clone or two of himself. He was the Main Man after all. An original unto himself. Still the idea that somebody would even try to make a copy of himself and possibly use him to their own means, no matter how vicarious that connection might be to himself; well that wasn't going to bide well by his book.
No One bosses the Main Man around; not even a copy of himself.
"Looks like we're gonna hafta go after da big fish den; deez Cadmus chumps and dis Light thing too." That malevolent blood- red gaze now drifted over to the two boys. "Looks like youse two gotta deciision ta make. Cough up sum info... or decide what flavor'a dip she's gonna need ta eats yas wid."

"Dude," Jolt shouted a bit, he was starting to side with his twin again "my POPS is in the Cadmus business. This ain't cool."
From this point on, Shockwave knew he had to bluff his way through the situation. He didn't want to toot his own horn, but he was fairly skilled at it. It could have been due to the fact that he wanted to avoid losing to his brother in poker at all costs or perhaps after many years of getting his brother generally out of trouble. He thought a minute, most of these beings weren't human, not to mention, his brother wouldn't betray him in this kind of situation.
"Well, Jolt," Shockwave started, keeping a stoic expression as well as he could "looks like your friends are interested in messing with our entire happy family. Look here, none of you are in control here. You see, CADMUS has trackers on both my brother and I. Within minutes I can contact a platoon of back up. Hell, who's to say that Jolt can't self destruct?"
This was a BIG bluff, but he was hoping it would work.

Shockwave may have been bluffing, but the grin that spread across the Czarnian’s face could not have been the effect he wanted. “Der commin’ here? Great! Bring ‘em on!” The maniac licked his lips as if savoring the anticipation of digging into the buffet at Golden Corral.
Even now he wrapped his fingers around the back of Jolt’s jacket in an attempt to lift him up and shake him to see if he could really bring the wrath of Cadmus down upon the little group. He did look over at Krepta and her undead buddy. He was pretty sure the dragon could do some serious damage, and maybe the blood sucker could take out a few. Not like they could kill him now, could they? The malevolent grin spread wider. Not like the could readily kill Lobo either.
He turned to Krepta. “If we take out dis Cadbury problem of yers, den you ain’t gotta sleep in a dive anymore. No more reason ta hide. Unless you Like snoozing in the muck?”
He then turned back to Shockwave, even as he tried to lift Jolt up like a ragdoll. “Go ahead, boy. Bring down yer little buddies. I’d like ta introduce muhself.”

Krepta watched the argument go back and forth between the twins and the Great White Bounty Hunter for a moment. She wondered briefly how these two hadn't gotten themselves killed by someone. They seemed to have quite the knack for making enemies. She shook her head, glancing at Lobo. "Trust me, as much as I'd like to take those bastards down as soon as possible, it's not as simple as all that." She shot the twins an irritated look. "These guys are a governmental entity all to themselves. I don't think they'd trust a bunch of kids with their secrets. Even if they did know... We're tough, but we're not that tough. We'd need a lot more help. For now... I think we should just settle for the scientists they're working for. It's a smaller part of the whole, but it'll cripple what ever operation they're working on at the moment." She grimaced, exposing purpled gums and sharp teeth. "Anyhow... I'm not hiding from Cadmus. They're just one of the many pains in my ass. If anything, it'll probably bring the entire operation down on my scaly butt. That's a risky I'm willing to take though." Then the dragon shifted her weight, turning so that she was facing the twins. Those twin points of emerald hellfire fell on Shockwave. "That's exactly what we want, pipsqueak. Call 'em here. Let them fall right into my waiting jaws." Those muscular hind legs tensed before she launched at Shockwave, wickedly hooked claws reaching out to snatch him up and carry him up into the air with her. No matter what happened, she was going to get a point across now. She was going to make sure he wet himself every time he even thought of her. He had wasted a lot of her limited time, and she was mad. "Hey, Big Guy!" she called out to Lobo. "Why don't you see if this Jolt kid really can self destruct?" She was sure Lobo wasn't too pleased at the two either, considering. She had told him that she could seriously hurt them-- being that they were kids and all-- but she certainly had no problems with roughing them up. Maybe it would build some better character and knock a little sense into them.

((OOC: EEK! I did misread it! Oh my gosh, I'm terribly sorry. Plus, I still assumed that Lobo was physically gripping onto Shockwave, oh geez, I feel horrible! I thought I had typed in an opening for Lobo to let go too, but I guess I just need to not write these at three in the morning. Though, I'm a tad confused as to what Krepta is doing...))
Suddenly, Jolt saw the situation for what it was, and he immediately took action. In horror he watched as Shockwave was dragged into the air. He looked up at his elder brother and both of them clicked as easily as usual. They needed a plan that was efficient and quick because this is getting ugly.
Shockwave smirked at this sudden advantage against the dragon. Krepta was physically touching him and that was all he needed. Gripping onto her scales with one hand, he decided to leave a warning. "You have thirty seconds to surrender. At any moment now I can pump hundreds of watts through your veins and you'll plummet down with me from a disastrous height. Do you really want that? My brother might make sure we land on your little friends."
He gazed into Krepta's eyes, never had he been so confident and terrified at the same time. It bothered him how CADMUS trusted two teenagers with such dangerous missions and never bothered to help them, though they had been told of many young heroes who worked on their own, at least they had mentors. Still, he stared at her with as much arrogance as he could muster, desperately trying to channel his brother. Simultaneously, he thought of all the people he wished he had talked to more in what he thought was a life or death situation.
Meanwhile, Jolt slowly inched toward Maurice. Taking gaping, awkward steps toward the vampire, he hoped neither Lobo or Maurice would notice. Though knowing Jolt and his inability to remain silent, they probably would.

(( Hey, domofudge, be careful about assuming your attack hit Lobo. You're godmoding a bit there. Also, I'm sure you didn't mean to, but you completely ignored Krepta's actions back there. You may want to re-read the post. ))

(( XD It's okay. We all make a mistake or two once and a while. And Krepta's was snatching him up was all at that moment. ))
Krepta decided to call the twin's bluff. "Thirty seconds is all I need," she growled. "I'll survive that drop..." She pumped her wings harder. powering higher and higher. As she shot through the sky towards the clouds, the air became colder, thinner. In the cold October sky, high above the dockside, the air was absolutely icy. Krepta didn't feel it though, through heated, thick scales. She looked down at Shockwave in her claws, and pulled her lips back into a cruel sneer. "...Will you?" Up just below the clouds, the docks and their buildings looked like toys-- Lobo, Jolt, and Maurice, barely visible. "I think you're forgetting that if I fall, you fall too. Trust me when I say it's not a nice way to go. Then there'll be no one to protect your brother. And I promise you, I'll let Lobo have him. And when he's done with him, I've provided him with enough information to find the rest of your family." The last part was a bluff, of course, but he didn't know that. As for Jolt... she wasn't sure what the giant bounty hunter was capable of, but she was certain it wasn't nice, and she was sure that without her around, that all deals between them were null and void. She had an inkling that Lobo was plenty ready to rip the brat limb from limb. "Now let's think about this carefully, eh? Who's surrendering again?"

Lobo had protested when Krepta ripped the kid out of his grip, but his snarls were unanswered and probably unheard as the dragon took off to the clouds. The Czarnian stood, shielding his eyes towards the glow of the pre-dawn light to watch her climb higher and higher with her prey. “Man I hope yer brudder don’t do anythin’ stupid.” He remembered the ride and while He might survive such a fall, he doubted the kid would bounce back as readily.
Still he was on point. “Where ya think yer goin’, punk?” he snarled. He didn’t need to look; he could hear the little creep shuffling inch by inch away from his side. “I thought you was muh new side kick? Well side-kickin’ ain’t all fun-n-games, ya know. The dragon’s frontin’ muh pay. If she’s in danger, so’s muh salary; ere-tu we gotta protect ‘er scaly ass. If deez Cadmus creeps wanna dice ‘er up, we gotta stop ‘em, and da Main Man knows one ‘r two way ta do so. Both are pretty gorey, unless ya got a bright idea.”
In truth he wanted the kid to stick around, but Jolt was going to have to make some hard choices, especially if he wanted his brother to survive this.
