Cannon or your own: own.
Hero or Villain: Villain
Civilian Identity: Lars Felancio Sefte
Codename ( If any ): Voide
Nicknames ( If any. ): N/A
Criminal Record: Various crimes such as stealing, vandalism, and multiple unproven murders.
Gender: Male
Apparent age: 16/17
Age: 15
Hair: Somewhat short, reaching his ears. Wildly Unkempt and a mixture of black and dark brown, lighter towards the tips.
Eyes: A bright but stormy Grey, with flecks of blue and green.
Height and weight: 6'0''/187lbs
Appearance: When it comes to clothing, Lars is not particularly picky, though he does have his preferences, which include basically any dull, dark color or a shade of black. During the period of the day where he needs to wear civilian clothing though, he would rather a long sleeved turtle neck or a button-up than polo shirts, he is also fond of denim based material. He is also noticeably more muscular than the average guy his age, and is at almost peak human physical condition, although he is quite skinny from minimum food consumption. Also, despite his nightly activities Lars has naturally tan skin. With his well-built frame, good height, sharp light eyes and dark hair Lars is considered handsome by most standards.
While engaging in his 'extra-curricular' activities, he wears a flexible, tight suit (though not spandex) so he can move around easily, as he has has a more acrobatic build. The suit is almost has no armour (not particularly needed since he has rapid healing, it would only weigh him down.) and is completely black, except for two grey half-triangles facing each-other on either side of his waist, connected at the back by a thick band of the same grey, which edges are blended with the bases of the triangles. This colour palette was chosen personally to easier merge with shadows, decreasing the chance of being acknowledged. Obscuring his face is an pale, other-worldly skull of a beast that's facial structure was quite ragged, and protruding bone spikes over lap each-other at the back of the mask, forming the tie to hold it in place. The round holes in the helmet lets Lars' eyes show through, although due to the previous inhabitants wide but conveniently fitting jaw, the bottom half of his face is covered. He has light boots with padded soles for stealth, and similar gloves with thin, disposable sheets of different fingerprints of people with the authority to enter wherever it is he is attempting to gain access. Lastly, strapped diagonally from his left shoulder to his right hip, is a white utility belt, with long pouches for goods and other items he steals/finds.
Abilities :
With extreme Telekinesis and rapid Healing ability, Lars can function with a severed/severely injured limb, and can survive with missing vital organs and limbs, although he may remain comatose from a few hours to days, weeks or months. His telekinesis ability grows as he does, both mentally and physically. Currently though, he is able to lift weights of matter weight roughly 5000 kilograms. The range that his telekinesis abilities can roughly reach, is about 1 or 2 kilometers. The amount of energy that Lars uses while performing his telekinetic ability, rises and falls mainly depending on the weight of the object he is attempting to move, and the level of concentration he gives the action. For instance, if his concentration was directed solely at lifting a car, it would not tax as much energy as if he was fighting a hero while launching cars at the said hero. Also, it would obviously use less energy the the amount required to lift a car, than to lift an object the size of a marble. The same would go for moving objects that strains the limits of the strength and range of his telekinetic power, and he would not be able to hold them for as long as a smaller object ('long' being about 5-10 minutes).
Including being multilingual and having a photographic memory, Lars also possesses high intelligence, and due to his reluctance to use and consequently reveal his powers, he learned slightly above-average (for the superhero/villain category) hand-to-hand combat, acrobatic, and some martial art skills. As well as knowledge of pressure points and the typical bodies weaknesses.
Equipment (If Any): Other than the multiple tasks of his suit as described, Lars always carries a deadly, intricately-designed dagger, approximately 12'', and is much sharper than the average knife, being able to cut through most steels and iron.
Origin of Abilities: Lars was born with low, limited telekinesis and healing, but years of tests and orphanage made him rely on them because physically he was still under developed and needed them for survival against stronger, older individuals. The rest were obtained by observing people around him and actions.
Weaknesses ( Must have at least one. ) : Blindness. Lars was born blind, but he can still technically 'see' through interpreting vibrations, and with his telekinetic powers. Claustrophobia. Through childhood trauma, Lars has developed a severe case of claustrophobia, reactions range from shock and a standstill in movement, to violence and panic attacks.
Unstable Mental State. Bad experiences, inability to see, and low levels of general, friendly contact occasionally unbalances Lars' mental frame, driving him into a crazed state.
As well as little social interaction, and no experience with mechanical/technological items whatsoever.
Personality: At first meeting, Lars is instantly on the defensive. He is hostile and paranoid, doubting even the most seemingly sincere character. To those he does get to know though, he is fiercely defensive and loyal, always putting others before himself and won't hesitate to back-up his friends. To know him as Lars, you would first need to ally him, to the point where he trusts you at least 50%. Stated, Lars could never trust anyone full-on. He also has a somewhat bi-polar personality; one moment he would act charming, witty, confident and friendly, and the next he would be brooding in a dark corner. He has also been exposed to a very cruel environment, and is in all anti-social, choosing to avoid civil interaction rather than engage in conversation and maintain social etiquette.
As Voide he is brutal, and is quick to execute his plans and actions. He has a distinct, but unpredictable fighting style, never giving his rival a chance to rest. He dodges and defends, every move is premeditated, and when the competitions stamina lowers, he suddenly counter-attacks, immediately switching to a offensive tactic as soon as their guard is down. Personality wise, Voide is sarcastic and offensive, mostly mute though, choosing to communicate with his skills. However when he does enjoy the chase with an opponent, he will become more teasing and insulting.
Background:
Lars Felancio Sefte was son to Adrianne Sefte, a desperate, criminal medical scientist who, with her partner and a team of scientists attempted to create a unnatural child. The experiment was originally and legally created to help cure infertile women. Though Dr. Sefte twisted it to suit her own selfish needs. She used her self as the primary test subject, due to vigorous research, she was successful the first time, though it cost her own life.
She became infertile after a lab accident. Adrienne was trapped inside the testing room when toxic barrels leaked, as the lid was punctured by an unknown resource. Alone as the hazardous chemical fumes were swirling in the air, they absorbed all the pure oxygen, forcing her to breathe in or suffocate. She was deemed unable to give birth, but as she discovered later, granted with strong mental power. Taking a 20% chance of survival against her partners wishes, as she had tricked him into staying oblivious to the real cause of their research, Adrianne planted the seed inside of herself letting it grow as a normal child would, excluding the daily need for a custom created drug usage. But everyday Adrianne was getting dangerously sick and violent due to consumption of said drug. About six months in, her partner pleaded for her to stop the experiment and kill Lars. Furious, protective and under the influence of the drug, Adrianne murdered her partner, then framed her former boss, who had been getting suspicious about her operations. He was therefore sent to jail.
Adrianne died giving birth to Lars, and he was then raised by the cold, calculating scientists that were still loyal to his mother, even in death. The scientists and doctors were fascinated by Lars' survival, whereupon they brought him underground, running tests ever since he was capable to survive through them, from which his healing ability had grown. At the tender age of 7, Lars' mental capability had developed dramatically, and he broke out of the small containment room he grew up in, (the area his Claustrophobia had stemmed from) and killed all beings in the building. He had only his instincts and abilities then to survive on harsh orphan life in Gotham City. Because then of Lars' general nature, instead of turning into a crazed psychopath or becoming suicidal, he became the Voide. Using what skills he was born with and had acquired on the streets, he built his own sense of justice, supporting himself with the money he stole or earned through shadier jobs. With a now stable, determined mentality, he investigated the cause of his mothers insanity. Lars discovered that the holed barrels were part of the aftermath of a fight, by the Justice League.
Known Enemies: Instinctive hate towards scientists. The Justice League.
Known Allies: Currently N/A
Teams and Past teams (If any): loner.
Base of Operations: Mostly Gotham, in the Narrows. He owns a small room in a run-down, inconspicuous apartment/abandoned building.
Other (Optional) :
Sample Post:
Voide stealthily sprinted across the shiny, reflective floor of LuthorCorp, slipping behind the bored guard he smiled, but not kindly. Lazy guards were so common these days, it was just too easy. Creeping through a narrow hallway he was careful to avoid all personnel and stick close to the dark shadows. Locating the vent on his map he scaled the wall and efficiently sliced through the steel bars of the grate. Slipping in, he recognized another cliché of spy movies, the vent was always big enough to fit the one breaking in. How convenient. Big rich business men were practically begging to be robbed.
He didn't need to worry about the high-tech motion sensors, or patrolling security cameras. Most experienced assassins/thieves would hack the system themselves, but unlike them, Lars didn't grow up as a, more or less for many criminals, normal child. So he therefore had no prior experience with computer or the like. He had already blackmailed one of the higher authority sentries to turn them off. Everybody had something to hide. He had then promptly killed him. Obviously the man hadn't uncovered his identity, (not that it mattered, considering that according to the government, he didn't even exist) but he was just taking extra security measures. No-one could ever know that he had even set foot in this building, and unfortunately for the guard, he had a very different costume compared to the other villains.
Lars wasn't really sure of what to think of killing human beings. There were millions of people on the planet, removing a few couldn't hurt right? But then there was the value of life. That person was a living being that ate, slept, talked, he was a fascinating subject that shouldn't be able to exist, to walk, to function and learn. Well, the dead man now, was just a sack of innards and a deactivated brain. Then again, he mused, he was of the same general category, well, almost. But he figured, that it would do no harm to kill a corrupted man, as he had learned when looking through the man's past. Even though he wasn't familiar with computers, he could still sift through files pretty well, and he was similarly adept at investigating and observing. People were so oblivious to what was around them. He had come to the conclusion that murdering men worse then oneself wasn't overly evil, in fact, it should do the world some good. Lars didn't consider himself to be evil, either. It wasn't like he had any other choice, and he couldn't just sit around all day, he would literally go insane. He needed to use his skills somehow, and this, it seemed, was the only way for him to do so. It would be impossible to even try to act normal, as he did not have very much social contact with 'normal' teens. He had never been in a real home (other than the bachelor pads he stole from) and probably couldn't even work at a fast-food joint, he had never been in a real kitchen either.
Arriving at his destination, Voide was cut from his thoughts, and waiting for with perfect timing, he dropped out of the vent, landing softly on his feet and gliding over to the room containing the item he was here for.
